p0pular science exists to promote obscure, out-of-print, or hard-to-find music and art. Much of what you'll find here comes from vinyl lps and cassettes that were never reissued or from CDs that have gone out-of-print. As the sound files are mp3s and occassional mp4s from varying sources, the sound quality will vary. If you love one of these recordings and it makes its way into print, please make sure to think about buying it. It should also go without saying that if you like something you found here, make sure to consider purchasing other recordings by that artist that are currently in print. There's a lot of good music out there, especially on indie labels, and in the used record bins if you're just willing to look around and research the sounds you are putting into your head.
